'Inside Out 2' Adult Appeal Continues to Drive Box Office Success

Disney-Pixar's animated film 'Inside Out 2' has been on a soaring trajectory at the box office, garnering significant attention even before its release.

Since its premiere on the 12th, 'Inside Out 2' has surpassed 5 million viewers in just 18 days, surpassing the final viewer count of its predecessor 'Inside Out' (2015), which had around 4.97 million viewers.

'Inside Out 2' tells the story of Riley, now 13 years old, and the emergence of new emotions in her 'Headquarters of Emotions' such as anxiety, envy, embarrassment, and boredom, alongside Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear. Riley experiences confusing times as she enters adolescence.

Contrary to the general notion that animated films primarily target children, 'Inside Out 2' has primarily attracted adults aged 20-40.

According to age analysis by CGV viewers, as of July 1st, 20-somethings accounted for the highest proportion at 29%, followed closely by those in their 30s at 27% and 40s at 28%.

Comments from viewers such as "It made me feel like I returned to my childhood innocence," "A film that comforts adults," and "Made me reflect on the various emotions within myself once again," shed light on the reasons behind its appeal.

Meanwhile, according to integrated ticketing systems as of July 1st, 'Inside Out 2' maintains a reservation rate of 25%, indicating it will continue its successful run.
