'Inside Out 2' Joins the Billion Club in Record Time in Animation History
Disney Pixar's animation 'Inside Out 2' has joined Hollywood's 'billion club' by surpassing $1 billion in ticket sales in the shortest period in animation history.
According to the U.S. Box Office Mojo on the 1st (local time), 'Inside Out 2' recorded ticket sales of $1,014.81 million worldwide in just 19 days after its release. It became the 11th Hollywood animation to exceed $1 billion. This comfortably surpasses the total box office of the previous installment released in 2015 ($850 million), achieved in less than 20 days. This year, 'Inside Out 2' is the only film to enter the billion club.
The enthusiasm for the film is also high in Korea. According to the Integrated Computer Network for Movie Tickets, as of the 1st, the cumulative number of viewers in Korea is 5.72 million. This figure has already surpassed the total number of viewers for the previous installment in Korea (4.97 million).
